One of the creators of the AMC TV series 'The Walking Dead' is leaving the show just three months before the start of the highly anticipated second season. Frank Darabont developed the show from the popular comic book series, was executive producer, wrote four of the the six first season episodes, and even directed the critically acclaimed pilot.

No reason was given for his departure. He had already begun working on season two, writing the first episode himself. He was also in attendance at the recent San Diego Comic-Con, with no hint of not sticking around. Some speculate that the grind of producing a weekly television series is more than he bargained for. Hopefully the show will not lose any of it's appeal. The good news is, Glen Mazzara, second in charge of the show, will now take over.
