There's a new game for the iPhone that has potential. It is called Zombie Highway by Kevin Pazirandeh. It is basically a racing game, where you drive down the same highway endlessly. The twist on this game is, instead of simply avoiding obstacles, you also have avoid zombies. You have 13 different guns you can use to shoot the zombies with by simply touching the screen. The further you go and the higher levels you accomplish, the better the weapons become. You can also run them down with your car too.

If a zombie catches you he'll clutch onto your car slowing you down, and eventually killing you. But using the tilt controls, you can shake them off your car by carefully scraping against obstacles. The game has impressive graphics and sounds. It has six different levels with two different environments. There's also a leaders board so you can compete against friends based on miles driven and zombies killed type stats. So far the game is free to play but will eventually cost 99 cents.

'Army of the Damned' is a new 3D browser-based first person shooter zombie game by Xform. It is free to player on your PC with the latest Shockwave software.

In typical zombie fashion, you will have a machine gun, an XM8 Assault Rifle to be exact, grenades and a knife for when you run out of ammo. You can call in extra ammo and supplies with flares. But basically the object of the game is to shoot and kill as many zombies as you can for points. The zombies keep on coming, horde after horde, in a nearly impossible flurry of flesh-eating enemies.

This game isn't much different from most other zombie games in the genre, but it is an easy game to play, for free, on your home or work computer, or when your XBox system is down.

The latest downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops is a package of zombie maps for XBox 360 called 'Rezurrection'. One brand new map will have you killed the undead while exploring on the moon.

The other 4 maps will be reworked maps from previous zombie maps in the Call of Duty series. Kind of lazy if you ask me. If you bought the 'Hardened' or 'Prestige' editions of Call of Duty: Black Ops then you already have the reworked maps, and you will be able to access the new 'moon' map for free. Everyone else will have to pay $15.00 for the zombie only map content. It will be available on August 23rd.

Zombie Gunship is the newest most popular zombie killing game for your iphone. Basically, you are controlling a gunship. And your job is to kill as many of the zombies on the ground that are trying to take over your base. They come from all directions and in typical zombie like fashion, they keep coming, and with more numbers.
The graphics themselves are fluid but not as appealing to the eye as they could be. The terrain is basically just a grey grainy area, I guess to give it a 'view from radar' type effect. There is only one-map and no levels to work your way up to. There is also no story-line, though does there really need to be? Just shoot the zombies and kill time.
The game is still kind of new, so updates and downloadable content are probably already in the works.

The game is due out in September 2011 on XBox 360, PS3, and PC.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is due to hit stores for XBox and PS in late 2011. The story takes place in between Resident Evil 2 and 3 and has a much different game style.

In this new installment, you will be able to play with up to 3 other players in online co-op games. There are 4 different characters to choose from, all with different weapons and fighting styles. But basically the game will be about shooting zombies; lots of them. And the occasionaly monster now and then for good measure.

It sounds like it is going to be similar to Left 4 Dead, which isn't a bad thing, I hope. One cool feature I read, is that if your character is bitten by a zombie, you become a zombie, naturally, and start attacking your teammates.
